Welcome to UpGrade

You probably already know which secondary school you’ll be going to in September, but have you worked out how you’re going to get there each day?

Here are some of the options for you to consider:

  • Walking - sociable, healthy and fun
  • Cycling - quick, fun and great exercise
  • Public transport - Easy, good for longer journeys and free for under 16s.

Moving up to secondary school can be a daunting time, but it’s an exciting one too!

Year 7's experiences

  • High school will be easy. Just don’t be scared or nervous. If you over come your nerves it will be easy. Just let the days flow. Good Luck

  • There are many different ways to make friends in secondary school. My advice to you is to join as many clubs that you like, that way you know children from different classes.
    Manojkumar Ragunathan

  • Cycling is easier transport, than the bus because when I first cycled to school, I felt a lot healthier and a lot more active. I was a wonderful experience, and I hope to do it again in the future!
